Tryst ~ Illumination

Tryst juxtaposes the reality of mundane life with supernatural surrealism, highlighting the magic of the everyday world.

Illumination is set in a scout camp, the very one where the convention Chimera takes place. But instead of a larp convention, the characters are attending a Buddhist meditation retreat. Some of the characters are regular retreat visitors, others are visiting to see what their friends and family are so taken with. Some have concerns about the nature of the retreat. Most players will portray a character very much like themselves. Others will portray otherworldly characters, invisible to most people.

Reality has broken. Can it be fixed?

Cast List

Characters will be written to the specific player. The following is a list of character groups to choose from.

Meditation group leader The leader and teacher of the group gathered. Knowledge of Buddhism useful.
Meditiation group attendees Around 7 regular attendees of the group. A little knowledge of Buddhism useful.
Aberrations Around 3 otherworldly characters. Knowledge of Buddhism useful.
Visitors Around 7 friends and family of the attendees and group leader.
Grotesques Around 3 otherworldly characters, come to fix reality.

Costuming Requirements

For leader, attendees and vistors modern clothes are fine. For grotesques, dull anachronistic clothing (e.g. shabby grey 1920's suits and hats). Grotesques will be provided with makeup. For aberrations costume will be provided.
