BACKGROUND

When it comes to watching movies and television, we are a society of unoriginal ideas and remakes. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, there was a movie serial known as Corbett and Grimes, Private Detectives based on the novels by H.M. Murdock. This serial helped to establish film noir as a profitable genre. Now, the network Sky in New Zealand has acquired the rights to this classic and ordered a full new season.

The series was an instant hit, and all but the last episode are ready to go. Unfortunately there are a couple of problems: Max Porter, the Head Writer has been on a three week bender due to a drinking problem, so his script for the episode is almost non-existent, there is no fall back option, and Max is in a drunken stupor.

A number of international deals and sponsorship contracts mean that the cast and crew must complete the episode today, or face cancellation and the stinging blows of the media and the public if they found out. Are you up for the task?
