Costume

Fantasy costume. Members of the Guild will be expected to included an visible element of purple in their costume (e.g. scarf, headband, or gloves).


Setting

Set in the multiverse of Michael Moorcock, with a backdrop of eternal struggle between Law and Chaos, this game is takes place in the plane of the Young Kingdoms (home of Elric of Melniboné) in the most dire of circumstances. Multiverse is dark high fantasy, where mages wield great power. This is a high-risk game, with a very high chance of player character death.



Background

Evil daemons from the nether planes have somehow gained control of the magikal Gates! Already, their advance forces have wrought havoc and disaster across the Isle of the Purple Towns, and without access to the Gates, there can be no hope of assistance, or of ascertaining the reach of this invasion. Clouds of smoke hang like an acrid pall across the island, signifying the deadliness of the daemon army.

Against this dark background, the some of the refugees are gathering themselves for a desperate resistance. It is time for the Guild of Purple Mages to take a stand, and to strike back at their enemies! While their numbers are few, their magik is strong. Will this be enough to win the day? Will they be able to discover the origin of this disaster?
