WE GOT YER GRITS RIGHT HERE

27th - 29th August 2010, Auckland, New Zealand

I don't want to complain, but I feel I'm being typecast as a normal human. Next Chimera I want to play an alien, a ninja or a demon lesbian. ~ Derek

It's been another year of crazy growth in New Zealand larp. There's barely a weekend goes by that organisers aren't fighting to run games on. The Auckland and Wellington larp communities are teaming up, and the NZLARPS gear library has grown up and is squatting in a garage in Mt Roskill living on Cheezels and Mountain Dew.

If you thought having 18 larps at Chimera last year was absurd, this year's convention will blow your mind. If you can't find something among over 20 larps with East London gangsters, superheroes, adventurers, space travellers, Shakespeare characters, Regency England, a kid's TV show, a high fashion photo shoot and a bar called A Bucket Of Blood, then we don't know what you like.

Unless perhaps what you'd really like is an 85 player classic Old West larp, in which case A Town Called Refuge will make your Saturday night.

Welcome

Last year's convention was a huge success, with 81 people from around New Zealand at the big 1850s Victorian larp on Saturday night!

Chimera 2009 was also featured on 20/20, you can watch the article here.

NZLARPS is now pleased to present the third annual New Zealand live action role playing convention, Chimera 2010. It's going to be a massive weekend, so get cracking and register now. If you have already registered, game selection is now available.
